Potamia

Potamia is a village which was built on a slope. It got his name from a stream who runs through the village. Potamia was built at the foot of the mountain Ipsarion. The Ipsarion is about 1.204 m high. There at the foot of the mountain you will find lots of vegetation. The village seams to lay inside of a jungle, because of the many plants around. If you want to reach the top of Ipsarion, it is a good idea to begin the ascent at Potamia. Potamia is ideal for everyone who need some quiet and who don't want to stay all day long at the beach. Here you can discover the environment of the village with all the different plants. Here you also can find the museum of the artist Vagis with his material. Vagis was born in 1894 in Potamia.
