Skala Prinos

At the north west of Thassos there lays Skala Prinos, which is the harbor of Prinos, Micros Prinos and Megalos Prinos. Skala Prinoa is after Limenas the most important harbor of Thassos. Here you can take the boat to the main land, to the village Kavalla. In Skala Prinos they are transporting marble for the whole world. Skala Prinos with the smell of fish and wet wood is the typical harbor. In the background you can hear the screams of the seagulls. Here you will find buses to reach the other different villages on the isle. Here you will find the bus line to Rachoni and one bus line to Limenas, too. Another one goes to the south of Thassos. The bus arrives at the same moment as the boat and is driving away after a few minutes. A little bit north west from Skala Prinos there is a small shipyard. Here you can see the work with the ships and the servicing.
