If you follow the path southwest of the Acropolis, you come to the remains of the temple from Athena. Athena was the protection goddess of the city Limenas. Her temple is on the second of the three hills.

During excavations the remains of the temple were detected, destroyed till the foundations. The temple was built of very big chiselled stones and the corners where connected through pegs, that looke like a double-T.

the people think, that the temple was built in the 5th century B.C. This thesis is supported by those ones in the inner one of the temple contained foundations that confirm the occurrence of the archaic temple. The altar room of Athena is on a broad terrace and appertained to the temple.

Through mussels and vessels that included the name Athena this altar room could be identified. In case of further excavations of the altar room barrels, remembering-plates and clay idols were detected.
