Thassos Island - Island Thassos Greece

The former commercial port is to the east next to the naval port. The commercial port was also called the open port and was combined with the city and the naval port by gates. Unfortunately the commercial port is, up to a few practicing-residue in the sea, completely destroyed.

The remains come still from the mole, that jutted out several meters into the sea. In this port all merchant ships and fishing boats went before levers. A defense tower guaranteed for the safety and before intruders in the commercial port.
