From the temple of the Athena the path keeps on leading to the altar of Pan.

Into the altar stone is chiselled to the God Pan with his flute.
According to the legend the God with his flute playing beguiled the women.
But seeing him, the women felt into hysteria, better said in panic.
The altar stands on the last one, the third hill, in approx. 150 meters height.
This hill was furthermore also the steepest of the three.
Pan was the protector of the herdsmen's and their herds.
An entry to a cave which was the dwelling of the God Pan according to the legend is in the proximity of the altar.
The people say, the the cave leads till Limenas.
