Thassos Island - Villages/Potamia-01.jpeg Potamia is is a village who was built on a slope. It got his name from a stream who runs through the village. Potamia was built at the foot of the mountain Ipsarion. The Ipsarion is about 1.204 m high. There at the foot of the mountain you will find lots of vegetation. The village seams to lay inside of a jungle, because of the many plants arround. If you want to reach the top of Ipsarion, it is a good idea to begin the ascent at Potomia.
