You will find the home museum directly at the main road of the wonderful mountain
village Theologos. The old mansion, that once was the residential building of
the mayor Chatzigeorgiou, was completely restored again.

Mr Chatzigeorgiou was not only mayor of the island Thassos, but he mentioned
the revolution also on the island against the Turks in the year 1821.
In the museum also the former assembly room was again completely reproduced.
Also the former living and sleeping-rooms of the mayor were restored completely.

There is an exhibition in the ground floor which shows, which devices and materials
the Thassians used for their daily work - for example small copies of olive presses
and flour mills.

Antiquated tools, looms, old chests and many pictures from the former
time are made out also in the ground floor.
